Printed army jacket

I wore this today for dinner and some shopping at Kohl's which turned out it to be a busted. I found a really cute dress but it was not worth the price. I am keeping my fingers crossed for it to go on sale or I get a 30% off coupon.

I bought this army jacket last year and I love it. I have never seen anything like it. Though ever time I go to wear it I never know what to wear it with. I think it looks better with shorts than jeans but I still do not know if i love it. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

Neon yellow

Before I show you the outfit I wore today there are 2 things you most know....
1. I look like a hot mess having taking these pictures at like 9pm with hardly any make-up left.
2. The quality on these pictures is not the best because my photographer (my sis) is sick, so I took these pictures inside with a not so great camera at night.

ok so no that is aside here is what my outfit looks like. I love that this dress is not so fitted and I love the bright color. One of my friends got me this dress for my 16th b-day last year. I do not know if I would have picked it out for my self but i love it.

Floral shorts

I wore this outfit over the weekend and I am in LOVE with these shorts. I bought them over spring break at a J-crew factory store. The quality and fit makes them a "step up" from most of my shorts. Not to mention the pattern on them is amazing. I definitely want to purchases a few more pairs. The price was a bit more than what I usually spend but not crazy. They were 40 or 50% off I believe.

Day to night outfit

I am not one who normally changes an outfit from day to night. What ever I put on in the morning has to last me all day! However yesterday was an exception because I had school in the day and then I went out with friends for dinner and saw a friends dance recital. So I took my day outfit and revamped it a little for the evening.
Day Outfit

Don't mind my crooked toe!

1. Blouse: Kohl's (similar) (similar)
2. Pants: J-crew- Got them at the factory store for way less (older version of pixie pants)
FYI: J-crew factory has 50% off right now!!!!
3. Sandals: Target (similar) (similar) (similar)
4. Earrings: Payless shoes (similar)

Night Outfit
I kept the same clothes but changed my shoes, added more jewelry, a handbag and a sweater for the colder night!

1. Sweater: Target
2. Handbag: Tommy Hilfiger from Marshall's (similar) (similar-super cute)
3. Wedges: Urbanog
I featured these shoes in my current favorites post and I am literally in love with them. My obsession for finding a pair of closed toe espadrilles all started last year when I saw these beauties from Tory Burch...
Though there was one problem the price $167 :( So this year I continued to look for a cute pair for a better price and I found these from urbanog and fell in love!

4. Ring: Lia Sophia (similar)- The middle stone fell out but you can't really tell. I would not recommend any thing from them to be honest the quality is not good!
5. Bangle- Bombay Duck (similar)

Hope you are having a good weekend. Check back tomorrow for another outfit!

Prom for less

1. Dress from JCP was 50% and it was long so I tailored it short. Same dress but twice the price, can't find on JCP.com. Total was $75 with dress and tailor!

2. Shoes from Sears were $25 on sale

3. Necklace from Target (similar) was $25

4. I did my own hair and makeup following this makeup look and this hair look (2nd one)

5. I painted my own nails in Sally Hansen blazing blue

Total was about: $125 for the look (not bad)

If you are going to prom, have a great night and remember you can always spend less and still look expensive!!

LONG time no post!

I almost feel like I should be saying welcome to my blog like I did on my very first post a while back.  I have not posted anything in forever and to be honest I have not had the energy to. I also feel like I have been saying this same every time I post something and for that I am sorry. I have been extremely busy this year with school (probably the most I have ever been so far). Of coarse the year I have the most going on I decide, hey I should start I blog! I don't ever regret starting it but timing was not the best. School will always be my top priority for now so with that said my blog fell to the back burner. I kept making schedules and saying what days I was going to post, thinking I would get all of it done over the weekends. However that did not seem to work much either considering my weekends are just as busy. Also my fashion has kind of been stuck in a rut with sleeping way past my alarm in the morning :( With the school year wrapping up I am hoping to have more time to spend on my blog. I am not going to make any promises on a set schedule however I am going to make all attempts to post pretty much everyday over the summer.  Being an avid blog reader I love being able to check my top blogs everyday knowing they will have something up. But I need to keep in mind the fact that most of those people do blogging as there job.  Keeping in mind the fact that I love reading blogs yesterday I discover my favorite blog of all times which has given me new inspiration for outfits and blog posts!! This blog is Southern curls and pearls. I love her preppy, southern style and the fact that her outfits are easily re-creatable. I would not say I am super preppy however the summer brings out the prep in me:)  Another thing I discovered threw her blog is that, it's ok if my post are not perfect for right now. What I am trying to say is that my picture quality and blog will take time to improve. I am a perfectionist and when I look at people like her, I think man my pictures suck compared to hers. Then I went back to her first year of blogging and realized she started off like me and grew. Her pictures got way better as I realized mine will. I can't compare my pictures and post to someone who has been doing it for 4 years. SOOOO with all that said I have a new passion for blogging and I am excited to start fresh!!!!!
