T-shirt & fancy jewels

One of my favorite things to do when trying to make a casual look more fancy is to add jewelry. Today I was going to a friends house and I wanted to be casual but still look nice. So I wore a summer t-shirt but then I added a fancy bejeweled necklace. I also wore converse to make it ever more casual. I like the way this look turned out :) What is your favorite trick to dress up and outfit?

Pink gingham on rainy days :)

I am loving this combo I put together for yesterdays really gloomy and rainy day. I bought this pink gingham top at Gap last week on the clearance rack ($20) and I LUV it. I wear my navy one so much so I thought I needed to add to my gingham collection. I added my pink rain boots for an added touch :) Happy rain days!!!

Red, White & Blue in the summer

Today's outfit could be something you would wear on the 4th of July but I think it works on a fun summer day. The red necklace adds a touch of red but it does not over power the blue/white. To me I think of this color combination as being nautical and preppy :)

Stuck in a rut: Navy check/pink

The past few days I have just been in a rut and not knowing what to wear. Everything I put on I just do not seem to like. This happens to me sometimes and when I have KNOW idea what to wear it can make me grumpy :( However when I do not know what to wear I normally go to my pinterest and look for some inspiration and it usually helps. So for today's outfit I take NO credit. I had pinned this picture from the amazing Kelly in the City a little while back. When I saw this picture on my fashion board I knew it was what I had to wear. So to sum everything up pinterest is a great place to get inspiration on what to wear :)

My b-day list (2014)

I am back from my college trips!! Sorry I did not post anything yesterday but I needed a day off. The college trip was tiring and I just needed a day to rewind and think about some stuff. I also did not have time to take pics of my second college OOTD and I am sorry. I promise it will be up tomorrow :) In the meantime I thought I would show you what is on my b-day this year because it's less then a week way (#exciting). Birthday's have always been a big deal for me so I will be definitely posting lots of stuff next week having to do with my b-day!

College tour OOTD (#2)

Today's post is what I wore for my first days of tours on my college road trip. When planning my outfits there was a lot to think about. I knew I wanted to wear something cool considering the 90 degree temp, I wanted to wear comfy walking shoes and last I wanted to look nice but not to fancy. With all those things I still was happy with the two outfits I came up with. Tomorrow's post will be my second outfit. We ended up spending one more night in a hotel because it was just to much driving but I will be back home tomorrow after our last tour...
