Thanksgiving Day Menu & Turkey Trot

This year for Thanksgiving we continued the tradition of running in the Turkey Trot for the YMCA in the morning. I really enjoyed doing this last year as it gets you active and the money goes to a great cause. It also helps you feel less guilty when you have a HUGE feast later that day! Thanksgiving has pretty much always just been my mom, dad, and sister so it's very relaxed. Our family has always had specific things that we always have for thanksgiving especially mac and cheese. It is a tradition I look forward to every year. On the other hand their are a lot of foods we don't make for Thanksgiving that are very popular like stuffing. We have just never been a fan of it so we opt out of making it! I wanted to share with you what our menu was for Thanksgiving this year as we tried a few new recipes that turned out great that I wanted to share with you! I also wanted to share with you some pictures form the race. I hope you enjoyed your holiday and I would love to hear about any unique food traditions your family has on Thanksgiving.

PS: Stay tuned tomorrow for an outfit post of what I wore for Thanksgiving

Homemade Mac & Cheese: Every year we always have mac and cheese on Thanksgiving although most years we always just by frozen Stouffer's but this year my sister wanted to make homemade mac and cheese from scratch. I really don't have much to say other then this recipe WAS AMAZING and is so easy to make. It tasted really good even days after heated up as left overs!

Gift Guide 2016: My Wish List

Happy Cyber Monday! I hope you found lots to great deals for items you were looking to buy. I didn't buy anything more today which is a good thing for my bank account. I wanted to share my current Christmas wish list with you guys for my second gift guide. I got my list out super early which was a first for me. A lot of the things on my list were also on sale this weekend which made for even better deals. With that note I am heading to bed because I keep falling asleep trying to finish typing this...

Sales Still Going On After Black Friday

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends! I know mine was very relaxing and I ate WAY to much. We started the day running the turkey trot and ended the night with lots of food! I wanted to post about all the great Black Friday sales yesterday but I had to be at work at 5am so needless to say I was very tired by the end of the night. Plus every other blogger always post about the sales going on. So I thought I would mix it up and share the sales with you that are still going on from my favorite stores ; ) WARNING: The sales are really good

Best Winter Socks & Stocking Stuffer

I don't know about you but the weekend seemed to fly by! I started my job at Ralph Lauren on Friday and I also worked Saturday as well. I had a pretty busy weekend so my motivation to blog was pretty much nothing. However I go on break Tuesday so I am SO EXCITED to finally have a decent amount of time to blog, take pictures, and work on new content. I have lots of fun gift guides that I can't wait to share with y'all in the next few weeks.

I wanted to hop on here quick and share my new favorite socks. My friend let me borrow a pair these cabin socks the other week when my feet were freezing. I fell in love with them right away and new I had to get a pair. So last weekend me and my sister did a little shopping and I bought myself some cabin socks from Dick's! The best part is they are BOGO right now so I got two pairs! I have been wearing them every night in my dorm as my feet are always cold. I don't know when the sale goes to so make sure to stock up on them now. Plus they make for a perfect stocking stuffer!

Thanksgiving Outfit Inspiration

With Thanksgiving right around the corner I wanted to give you some outfit inspiration for what to wear for the holidays! I created three different looks that I think are all very comfortable yet still very stylish. I didn't include any outfits with jeans or tight fitting pants so you can eat all you want! I loved creating this fun post and I hope you get some inspiration even if you take things you already have in your closet. I think my favorite outfit out of them would have to be the first one simply because these Jack Roger turkey flats are just too cute. With that I am heading to bed after I was interrupted by a firearm while trying to write this! PS: How did I not know that Blogger got emojis?🍁🍁🍂

Friday Favs

What a busy week of school work. I feel like I have just been studying non-stop but at least the weekend is here to give me a break. I have plans with sorority and friends this weekend to relax and have some fun! I am counting down the days until break (only one week left)!

Also Happy Veterans Day and thank you to all the amazing men and women who serve our country everyday!

Holiday Planner Sticker Book: I was wanting to add a little festivity to my Erin Condren planner so I decided to head to Hobby Lobby to check out their planner section. Let me tell you it's amazing and I could have bought out the whole store! I found this sticker book that has cute stickers for all the holidays. I used a 40% off coupon so it was only $11!

Thanksgiving Bucket List

With Thanksgiving only being two weeks away my excitement for the start of the holiday season is growing near. I love Thanksgiving obviously because of the food but I also love being able to be with family! To me Thanksgiving starts the beginning of Christmas which is one of my favorite times of the year. Thanksgiving could not come at a better time as my work load has been CRAZY the past few weeks. I seem to have tests and projects due weekly. Thanksgiving will be nice long weekend to relax before the madness of finals begins! I started creating these bucket lists last year for breaks, holiday, and vacations. I love doing them because it helps me get the most out of my time and it helps me appreciate the little things. So today I thought it would be fun to share a bucket list for Thanksgiving! I would love to know what's on your list?

Fun Night Out With Friends

As I think I mentioned in my post over the weekend I had the best time with friends during a fun night out. I got together with my two best friends from high school and we had dinner together. We went to a restaurant I had never been to before which was really good! It was so nice to be able to catch up and chat. After that we headed to Pinot's Palette where we took a two hour painting class from 7-9! I have always wanted to do a painting class like this but never got around to doing it until now. Let me tell you it's SO worth the money! We were able to chat and create something fun. We signed up for the local Buffalo painting but each location as unique paintings. The class was super easy to follow and all ours turned out amazing and none of us are really artsy. The teachers were completely willing to help anyone who needed it however we managed pretty well on our own! I took some pictures along the way that I wanted to share with you. I hope you enjoyed me quick review and I encourage you to try a class if you haven't done one already!

PS: To save a few dollars when you sign up for emails with Pinot's Palette they are always sending discount codes so the class was only $26.

I just got done watching the CMA awards and before I head to bed I thought I would share with you what I ended up crafting for my little! I can't remember if I mentioned this before but last week was clue week and then Sunday we had big little reveal which was TONS of fun. So as you can imagine I spent lots of time crafting last week and I thought it would be fun to share with you some of the things I made in case you need ideas at all! I still can't believe I am a big but it was one of the most exciting moments I definitely won't forget! I when it was all said and done I ended up making a canvas, wood letters, picture frame, pin box, and tie blanket. I was really happy with the way everything turned out and I think she liked everything!
