Friday Favs:

A couple weeks ago I shared my current favorites with you guys here and you really seem to like the post. So I decided to do another one as I really enjoy doing them. It gives you guys a look into my life and it changes things up a bit from my usual outfits. So today I am sharing with you my current obsessions and favorites.  Please leave a comment if you would like me to make this a weekly series!

1. 17th Avenue Designs: They helped me with the new look of my blog. I simply downloaded one of their templates and all I had to do was install it. Even though it's still not done I am loving the new look. I am going to dedicate a whole blog posts to my new blog once its complete but I had to share this with you.

First Day Back: Jeweled Shirt

Well it's back to reality, school and homework. I kind of took a short break over the weekend from blogging to enjoy the last few day and just relax. It was a nice change as I normally want to do something to keep from getting board. While I love to travel over break and stay busy. It was really nice to relax, sleep in and watch way to much Gossip Girl. I started watching it last week with my sister and we are addicted (yes I know we are late to the party).

So yesterday was the first day back to school and I decided to break out one of my new shirts from Christmas. If you went back to school yesterday I hope it was as good as it could be. One more thing before we get into today's pictures. Yesterday when I was leaving school someone hit my car (Don't worry I am fine it just sucks). So I apologize if I look a bit sad or angry in some pictures because I was. Anyways lets get to the fun stuff...

2015 Resolutions: "The Year of Me"

New Year's Resolutions are often over-rated, never completed and to much effort. While I am not one to go crazy over resolutions last year I wrote a list of things I wanted to accomplish in 2014. I kept it in my night stand and occasionally I would look at it. The list helped remind me of things I wanted to do and new things I wanted to try. While I did not accomplish everything on the list it helped me realize how much I did do (like starting melchicmay) in 2014 and not just focus on what I didn't do. So I knew I wanted to do the same this year however I was having a hard time writing resolutions down. Then it hit me "The year of me" and no it's not what you think. This does not mean it's only about ME and no one else. I am making 2015 the year to do what I love, take care of myself both on the outside & inside and make 2015 the best version of myself. In 2014 my theme was to be more adventurous and spontaneous. Though I have come to realize that parts of that it just not me. I did do adventurous things in 2014, just in my own way. So I have decided for 2015 I am going to improve on the person I am. So here are my "resolutions" for the year of me...

1. Take care of my self on the outside: Change up my haircut, have spa nights, paint my nails and whiten my teeth.

2. Stay Health: Drink 4 bottles of water, go to the gym a couple times a week, try to run a 5k, avoid the scale and try a juice detox. This cliche "health topic" is a lot different for me this year then last year. In 2014 I was so focused on losing weight and the number that often I never felt in shape. Though the past year has taught me the number on the scale is nothing it's how you feel. So for the past few months I have not weighted myself and it's way better for me!

3. Be more patient & less worried/uptight

4. Keep on improving Melchicmay as a blog

5. Live everyday to its fullest

6. Travel to new places

7. Surrounded myself with my closest friends

8. Read more about topics I enjoy: Businesses, biographies & self-help

9. Re-organize my closet

10. Take golf lessons

My Quotes for 2015:

"Eventually all the pieces will fall into place. Until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moment, and know that everything happens for a reason. "

What are some of your resolutions for 2015?

Too Much Pink?!

Today's look is what I wore yesterday and I can't decided if it's to much pink. But then again is there such a thing as to much pink? I have been on the look out for a Fair Isle sweater this winter and this one finally matched what I was looking for. It was a super good deal (less then $20) at Target after Christmas. I love the possibilities of what I can wear with this sweater. You could wear it with navy accessories or even with riding boots or wedge booties. I was thinking of wearing different shoes however the weather sometimes wins over fashion. It was literally FREEZING out yesterday with lots of wind.

I hope everyone had a great new year and has a great weekend. I know I will be enjoying the last few day of break :( sleeping in late and just chilling in my PJ'S!!!
