2015 Resolutions: "The Year of Me"

New Year's Resolutions are often over-rated, never completed and to much effort. While I am not one to go crazy over resolutions last year I wrote a list of things I wanted to accomplish in 2014. I kept it in my night stand and occasionally I would look at it. The list helped remind me of things I wanted to do and new things I wanted to try. While I did not accomplish everything on the list it helped me realize how much I did do (like starting melchicmay) in 2014 and not just focus on what I didn't do. So I knew I wanted to do the same this year however I was having a hard time writing resolutions down. Then it hit me "The year of me" and no it's not what you think. This does not mean it's only about ME and no one else. I am making 2015 the year to do what I love, take care of myself both on the outside & inside and make 2015 the best version of myself. In 2014 my theme was to be more adventurous and spontaneous. Though I have come to realize that parts of that it just not me. I did do adventurous things in 2014, just in my own way. So I have decided for 2015 I am going to improve on the person I am. So here are my "resolutions" for the year of me...

1. Take care of my self on the outside: Change up my haircut, have spa nights, paint my nails and whiten my teeth.

2. Stay Health: Drink 4 bottles of water, go to the gym a couple times a week, try to run a 5k, avoid the scale and try a juice detox. This cliche "health topic" is a lot different for me this year then last year. In 2014 I was so focused on losing weight and the number that often I never felt in shape. Though the past year has taught me the number on the scale is nothing it's how you feel. So for the past few months I have not weighted myself and it's way better for me!

3. Be more patient & less worried/uptight

4. Keep on improving Melchicmay as a blog

5. Live everyday to its fullest

6. Travel to new places

7. Surrounded myself with my closest friends

8. Read more about topics I enjoy: Businesses, biographies & self-help

9. Re-organize my closet

10. Take golf lessons

My Quotes for 2015:

"Eventually all the pieces will fall into place. Until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moment, and know that everything happens for a reason. "

What are some of your resolutions for 2015?
