Life Update & Current Favorites

Guys I am back and am going to try and make an effort to post a few blog posts a week. I officially started my first day of work yesterday and so I now have a set scheduled which should help me figure out when I can spend a few hours to write a few posts each week. Before this week we had training and had a pretty random schedule so I found it hard to find the time to work on blogging. Plus when I am not working I am trying to spend time making the most of the summer. I have already been to the beach and pool many times. I also visited Savannah for a short trip over the weekend! So far I am really enjoying my time here in South Carolina. I am really liking the job, weather, and most of all I am having fun! My plan is to spend a few hours one day a week hopefully writing about four posts for the week if all goes well but hang tight until I get into a schedule! I thought I would share some of my current favorites with you to get back into a posting routine.

Weekend Plans: Happy Memorial Day weekend to everyone. I hope you have fun spending time outside with family to celebrate the start of summer. I will be working this weekend but at least I can enjoy some warm weather.

Scallops & Gingham

Long time no post but I have been very busy settling in to my internship in South Carolina but I am back today to share a super quick blog post. This is going to be the world's shortest post because I am super tired but I wanted to share this outfit with you of what I wore for the first day of work (will catch you up on everything in another post)! Sorry things have been a bit lacking but I haven't found a schedule of when to write posts. I am so busy all day that when bedtime hits I fall right asleep which is when I normally do my posts! Talk soon :)

Happy Mothers Day

FYI: This post is in collaboration with Dia & Co! They are the perfect place to find super stylish clothes for plus size women. All you have to do is fill out a quick style survey and they will send you a box of hand picked clothes just for you to try on right in the comfort of your own home (more info here)!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mom reading this! I wanted to write this post to simply thank my mom and all the other ladies out there for everything you do. Growing up my mom and I were close but we definitely had our differences and I wouldn't say we were super close. I remember there were times were we would disagree over something and I would be so mad at her. It was never over anything major and I would quickly get over it. In fact I can't even think of a specific time now. That all changed once I began to get closer to graduating from high school. Before I went off to college my mom and I along with my best friend and her mom took a trip to Martha's Vineyard. It was just the four of us and we had the BEST time. It was one of the best trips I have even been on. We got to explore a new place all while laughing about the stupidest things. I think every mother/daughter or even mother/son duo should take a trip together the summer before college! It was a time I will cherish forever.

Once I went away for college I would say I grew even closer to my mom. I started to call or text her pretty much everyday and we would update each other on life. My mom has become my best friend. I love spending time shopping, eating, or just hanging out. She always knows the best advise to give and I don't know a better person to turn to when I need style advise, to gossip, or really anything! They always say that your mom shouldn't be your best friend which I think is true when you are growing up however now that I am older I think a mother/daughter relationship is the best friendship their is! My mom and I also have very similar personalities which make things even more interesting. We are both super hard working, we love a challenge, and we always try to be upbeat just to name a few.
Happy Mother's day mom sorry I couldn't be their to celebrate with you ;)

My Everyday Makeup Routine

It's been a while since I posted about my makeup routine and my products I use have changed a lot. I use more high-end products more because I think sometimes it's worth it to spend a little more money on products. I started really using Tarte within the past year and I love all of their products. They are pretty much all natural and cruelty free. I go for a very natural makeup look and Tarte helps me achieve that look! I decided to film a video for this post so you can see how I apply everything. I pretty much wear some form of this routine everyday give or take a few products. If I am getting more dressed up I might add a few more steps but this is pretty much what I do everyday! Hope you enjoy this video ;)

Sophomore Year Of College In Review

As promised I back today to share a review of my sophomore year of college in picture form! Sorry this didn't get up sooner but my weekend turned into organizing and packing all my crap and my room is still a disaster (It's a work in progress). When I was going through my pictures I realized a lot of these pictures I have already shared on the blog here and their in various blog posts but I thought it would still be fun to share them in one place. I also tried to include some different pictures you have never seen. So here is parts of my sophomore year...

My Thoughts On My Sophomore Year Of College

At the end of freshman year I shared some pictures about some of the things I did throughout the year and I wanted to do that same post this year. I also wanted to share my thoughts on the year so I decide to split the posts into two separate posts so it's not so long. So today I am simply sharing my thoughts about my second year of college and tomorrow I will be back to share some more about what I did throughout the year!

Mother's Day Gift Guide 2017

With Mother's Day right around the corner I wanted to share with you some products that I think would make for awesome gifts! I tried to include things from all different price ranges. I also included some things my mom owns and loves which might help with your decision (including this rain jacket, these sneakers and this cosmetic case). Mother's Day is May 14th so with less than two weeks away make sure you order your gifts soon. I think Nordstrom is a great place to order from because they have really fast and free shipping. I am sad I won't be around to celebrate the special day with my mom this year but if you are in the same boat I think a special little package could do the trick ;)

Year Of Fun: April 2017

Another month has past which means it is time to share another edition in the year of fun for April. I have to say April kept me SO busy that it didn't leave much time to do additional fun things aside from what I already had planned. April was the last full month of school which left me very busy. I also pretty much had a sorority event every week in April. Add on my job at the mall and I had a full plate. I still managed to make the most of the month and find time to do fun things when I had some free time. I honestly can't believe it is already May today. The months seem to be flying by but I love checking in each month. It really helps me stay positive and enjoy each day more. I think it might be fun to look back on my new years resolutions post and see what else I could improve on in the coming months. As for the next few months while I am away for the summer I plan to enjoy everyday I have off. My experiences last summer really inspired this series so I know what to do differently this summer. I know I have to take the time to enjoy my summer every chance I get! More to come on my big move to South Carolina...

1. Trip To Vermont // I won't talk about this too much because I did a whole blog post here on our Easter trip to Manchester. It was so nice to take a mini vacation and enjoy a new town. We ate lots, shopped even more, enjoyed each others company, and had tons of fun!
