Summer Favorites

Well, the summer is coming to an end already (insert crying emoji) and I am back in Buffalo for the weekend. I am enjoying the last few days of summer for a friend's wedding. Once I head back to Dallas next week it won't exactly feel like fall which is nice but my summer of travel will be over. It is funny because during Covid I really didn't think I was missing travel all that much but I guess I was. I loved going to new and favorite places and really taking time off to relax. I think I missed traveling way more than I realized. Having things to look forward to is key for me. Even though I am sad to see the summer go I am looking forward to the cooler weather, getting some goals accomplished, and I even head back into the office soon.

I think the last time I posted my monthly favorites was back in May so I decided to make one list of all my favorite products, food, clothes, etc. from the last three months. As always there is lots of randomness!

1. Megababe Rosy Pits Deodorant // I have been using this for about a month now but I am totally obsessed with it. I picked it out at Target as I am always on the hunt for the perfect natural deodorant and this might just be it. It glides on so smooth, I don't find myself sweating as much, and when I do sweat the scent actually lasts throughout the day. I had shared this one back in January as a favorite but decided that one was not perfect so back on the hunt I went. I will have to let you know if I keep loving this one but for now, I am hooked.

2. Innersence Quiet Calm Curl Cream // My hairdresser got me onto this brand of products and I have been loving them. This is a cream curl product that I put in my hair and scrunch it right after the shower.

3. Inntersence I Create Hold Gel // I use this alongside the other cream. This one I use second as it gives my curls some hold. I need to get a new hair care routine posted with the full process of how I have been doing my hair.

4. Purell Naturals Hand Sanitizer // During the craziness at the beginning of Covid there was no being picking with the hand sanitizer. You had to take what you could get and as long as it did not smell like cheap alcohol in my book it was a win. Well, now that the stories have way more choices I decided to try this one because the pump intrigued me. I went back and bought a second one I love it so much. It does not have a strong alcohol scent at all and the pump is amazing!

5. Teasom Pina Colacha Ice Tea // The brick and mortar store of this tea store was up the street from my apartment but sadly it recently closed due to Covid. I was so sad because they had the best ice teas, especially in the hot summer months. I discovered they still sell their ice teas online and in some stores. I have already bought two boxes of the tea bags and I can't get enough of this Pina Colacha flavor.

6. Travel Golf Bag // I picked this up from Amazon at the beginning of the summer because it got pretty good reviews and was not $200 lol. I have used it several times this summer and I have had no issues. I am a VERY beginner golfer so for me, it totally works. I am guessing if you had a really expensive set of clubs you would want something with more padding but for the average golf set it gets the job done.

7. Manifest on Netflix // OMG I started watching this on a total whim early this summer and was hooked within one episode. It is so different and a little out there but also so juicy. I got my sister and grandma into it too. Netflix did just renew it for a final season.

8. Kendra Scott Gold Y'all Necklace // I saw this dainty necklace back in May when I went in shopping with my mom for her birthday. I had my eye on it for my birthday and when I went into the store I was not finding anything I liked as much as this necklace. It was on the pricy side because it is pure gold. I am so glad I decided to get it. I have been wearing it almost every day and since it is gold I don't have to worry about it tarnishing. (You get a discount for your birthday month on one item in stores!)

9. Hillhouse Home Dress // I am very late to the Nap Dress trend but to be honest last summer I was just not loving any of the colors or patterns. I did not love the idea of a sheer dress. Then I saw this pattern this summer and fell in love. I have to admit I got it in mid-August when another blogger had posted they restocked the pattern so I have not worn it much but in TX I know it will get lots of use.

10. Peanut Butter Panda Puffs Cereal // Not much to say other than this has been my go-to snack this summer. They are gluten-free and Target, Whole Foods, and Trader Joes all sell them.

11. Babybel Probiotic Cheese Snack // This is another snack I have been having at lunch lately. I don't find it bothers my stomach even though it is cheese.
