Aerie Bra Facts, Tips & Styles

FTC: I received an Aerie gift card as part of my relationship with Quality Blue Community. All opinions expressed are my own.

Ah, bras they are a basic staple that every girl needs yet they are so complicated with so many types, styles and cuts.  I personally hate Victoria Secret bras yes I just said that. I might be one of the only girls out there who says this. I think there bras are way over priced and have way to much padding in them. So because I don't shop at Victoria Secret a few years ago I had NO idea were to shop for bras. So I went to my local Kohl's and bought the bra's I thought were my sized. This option is ok but there are so many choices and no one to help measure you. When I would go to Kohl's I would feel so overwhelmed by the selection and if I found something I liked 9 times out of 10 they would not have my size. Then about a year ago I was shopping for a bathing suit and came across Aerie. I had gone into the store before but never really shopped there. Though when I went they helped me pick a style, size me and were so accommodating. Not only are they a great store but there #aeriereal campaign sends a great message.

Aerie recently came out with this info graphic (pictured above) which provides you with all the information you will need when trying to find the right bra. I encourage everyone to spend some time and go get measured because they say 80% of women are wearing the wrong size bra which is a lot (#shocking). If you already know your size it would not hurt to buy a few new bras (me included) because I am amazed they only last 6-9 months. They also give helpful tips like loose straps mean you should size down on the band. I personally think these tips are super helpful because they tell you how to fix each common bra problem not just list common problems. Next time I go bra shopping I will definitely be referencing this info graphic. Also make sure you check out the rest of this graphic for different bra styles. Aerie's blog has a ton of great style and girl tips!!! If you are like me a couple years ago and feel overwhelmed by all the possible options then make sure to check out this bra guide  which is SUPER helpful in my opinion. If you are still not loving this brand as much as I do they also offer free shipping/returns on bras and have tons of sales always going on.

  5. OK - this post is about BRAS, but I'm entering a contest that says that I'm supposed to leave a comment on what I look for in a perfect pair of jeans...since I can REALLY use an Amazon gift card at this time of year ...I'll play! The perfect jeans are 1) comfortable 2) the right length (which is hard for me, since I'm so short), and 3) can be dressed up or down!

As far as bras go, a good fit is so important. I got fitted earlier this year and found out that instead of a 48 DD, I should be wearing a 44 G. I am so much more comfortable in my new bras, and my clothes fit so much better!

  6. Perfect jeans for me are the ones that make my butt look good, is comfortable and the waist isn't too tight and my fat bulges out when I'm sitting down.

  10. I just always default to the same size so this graphic is really helpful. I have a few bras that are definitely the wrong size.

  11. I have nowhere near 9 bras. Guess I'm not average. I'm kind of picky since I require that a bra be comfortable before I will buy it.
