Happy 4th of July OOTD

Happy 4th of July to everyone! I love this holiday because of the fireworks, food, family and of course the red/white/blue outfit combos. When I was younger me and my sister would be in a 4th of July parade while we do not do that any more we always see fireworks and have friends over. Though this year is a little different because we are normally home for the 4th. We are leaving at the crack of dawn (5:30 am) to head to our beach house so we are not going to see fireworks (hopefully some neighbors have some)! Anyway while this 4th of July was a bit different it was still fun spending time the family and shopping at an outlet mall for some great deals. On to my look...

Peplum top: J-crew / Shorts: Target / Shoes: Sears- I painted the whales on with fabric paint / Pearl studs: Charming Charlie's / Pearl necklace: (similar) (similar) / Flag scarf: Target

Pss: want another red/white/blue outfit check this post out!

Summer Rundown #11- June 4th

  1. Hello!

Happy Independence Day for yesterday! I absolutely love your TOMS! I am looking at purchasing my very first pair! I have read all sorts of stories on various websites about TOMS making feet really sweaty so I have been hesitant to buy a pair in the past.

Has this been your experience with TOMS or are your feet always sweat-free when you wear them? Is there any difference between the styles of TOMS (classics and glittery) in respect to how much they make your feet sweat if, in fact, they make your feet sweat at all?

    Fantastic website, by the way!

    1. Hi Sarah,
The pair I am waring in this post our actually from Sears (linked in the blog post). While I love Toms and there cause I do not have a pair because the ones I have on I painted on. So I did not want to spend tons of money if my DIY painted shoes did not work. However my sister has had a pair of Toms for a few years now and she said that no they do not make her feat sweat. Though she wears shocks that are meant for flats with them. So I can not speak for wearing them without socks. Thanks for your sweet comment and have a great day!

      Stay chic,
      Mel
